Save The Date, and Clear the Road

I'm getting my California license. Not so I can drive, just so I can get into bars.

I HAVE A NEW COMPUTER!

Le Petite Muff Muff

Drag Dress Holiday

My sewing machine has been hot and over worked recently, thanks to my cross dressing friends. The amazing Cayenne hired me to make him a red New Years Eve dress.

The kitties cuddled up nightly to watch the sewing needle pump up and down. If only I could sleep all day.
The dress had a long slip up the back that we added a fluff of tool to. I couldn't resist throwing it around for a solid 20 minutes before a started sewing.
And here she is on her big night. It was a lot of draping with the open back and huge sleeves. But truly a drag queens dream.
I think even Divine would agree.

Fabric Sushi

For our annual "White Elephant" gift exchange at work I created these little sushi treats. Miss Myra came over with scraps of terry cloth and ribbon. I cut up a yellow sponge to make the egg, and was able to score a to-go sushi tray and chopsticks. They can stay in the tray on display, or can be hung on a tree as little ornaments. Just don't eat them.

WHERE TO BEGIN!

Ah...yes...perfect. Didn't you miss me?? I created this wonder of a costume for Halloween. Nothing can compare to the moment when that annoying bubble gum pop song came on and I busted my best Katy Perry move. Not even moments later I crashed, burned, and landed on my butt. In true superstar style I brushed it off, fixed my wig, checked my cupcakes, and went on my merry way.

Pie

Last night I flipped through the pages of a book titled, PIE. The kittens snuggled up as I decided which lovely treat I would cook up. I've never made a pie before, but I am insanely good at following directions. I mean like really really good. So I decided on a peach swirl pie with a cake crust.
After picking up some cream cheese, sour cream, and hairspray at the grocery store, I got to mixing! Muffin enjoyed licking sugar off the edge of the bowl.
Nothing is better than cooking with a fresh manicure. My fingers look like Barbie's.
I sliced up both fresh and canned peaches.
Peach spiral carefully placed on top of the custard cream filling.
Then a brown sugar cream topping baked for just 5 more min.
Check out those layers. I can't wait to cut into this.
Floral pants, red slippers, and Riley napping on my thigh. Time to watch Mtv.

Halloween 2010

Get ready ya'll.

Trying to decide between a cupcake, peppermint, or coolwhip bra.

I've also been crazy obsessed with "missed connections."
What if I started having chance encounters on purpose just so I could post them on "missed connections"?

Example:
Jane walks into American Apparel on Stockton Street. While at the unisex sock isle Jane glances at the dude (he kinda looks like Elijah Wood). He is checking out a pair of white tube socks with a teal band. Trying not to stare Jane chooses the black tights she always buys from American Apparel and scoots past dude. Mid scoot her purse knocks over a bundle of legwarmers.

"Oh man. Oh man. Oh God. Fuck." She says while in a very Molly Shannon/SNL/Superstar moment throws the legwarmers back into place.

Does the dude notice? Jane will never know, because she has promptly bolted out of the store and is already on a bus zipping across town.

Jane would then go home and write her "missed connection":

"Dear guy at the American Apparel on Stockton Street. Today I saw you and I knocked over a rack of legwarmers with my purse while scooting past you. I think we truly had a moment. Let me know if you want to go get burritos sometime."

Would you consider this a staged missed connection?

Should I start a blog called "Staged Missed Connections"?......just google searched it. Looks like I'm in the clear all I could find somewhat related is this.
