The Gift of You

Deep within my fever, the Christmas elves heard my cry, and a wave of gifts have been given to me. I'd never thought the day would come. I had just accepted the fact that I'd never make cute panties, bathing suits or perfect hems because I didn't have a serger. But my dear Alberto heard my complaint months ago and secrectly put in an order. Sure enough after a day of sleeping and sweating through pj's a cardboard box arrived with...Nancy, the newest addition to my sewing family. I can't tell you how excited I was.

I've been pouring over the threading directions, one day it will be like second nature, right?

My father also heard my complaints that I miss my sheet music. Not like I have a piano, but sometimes I run into one and am only able to play the beginning 5 measures. So father has started sending my music. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent staring, memorizing, and perfecting these pages.

And then there were flowers on the day of love. Because they are beautiful and remind me of something underwater here's a picture.

All secrets are whispered into the carpet

My mother gave me this carpet. It was a gift from her mother when she graduated from college. And now it's here in San Francisco keeping my toes warm.

It worked!! It really worked!! I would have posted more sooner, but this dang phone and it's dang app-li-mo-cations were failing me.

So here I lay posting underneath 2 layers of down comforters, battling a fever. So far I feel as if I'm kicking this fevers ass, and will be booty bumping come morning.

To pass the hours I watched The Sex and the City movie, and it helped me come to an important realization: my jammies suck. Carrie would crawl into bed wearing a purple, silk cammie, with adorable grey boycut undies (haha, I called them undies). And to top it off, a long string of pearls. I think I got the underwear covered, but a collection of silk tops and a string of pearls might be in my future.

For right now, I'm just going to eat some ice cream, and watch Randy Jackson Presents ABDC.
